As a business partner and collaborator within the Native American community, Bold Concepts is honored to provide support in the area of economic development and in the overall general welfare of many within the community. Here are just some of the upcoming events we’re sponsoring this year and have sponsored in the past in support of the following vital initiatives.
The National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) hosted the 40th Annual Protecting Our Children National American Indian Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect on April 4-6, 2022.
This three-day virtual conference has become the premier national event addressing tribal child welfare and well-being. Conference attendees represented a cross-section of fields and interests including child welfare, mental health, and juvenile justice service providers; legal professionals; students; advocates for children; and tribal and federal leaders.
NICWA works to support the safety, health, well-being, and spiritual strength of American Indian/Alaska Native children along the broad continuum of their lives. Their programming is centered on how to address structural risk—the conditions, like poverty and untreated parental mental health issues, that put families at risk for child abuse and neglect.
Bold Concepts was honored to be a part of this event and to be a continued supporter.
The latest Annual Native Strong Comedy Slam took on a new form in 2021. This was a 100% virtual online guitar auction. Due to COVID-19, in-person events were paused, but the fundraising continued. Bidding for the 15 autographed guitars opened in April and closed in July. Through online bids and donations, $10,000 was raised for the Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation and its critically important work addressing the health and fitness of Native American youth.
NB3 is a national, award-winning Native-led nonprofit leading the way to improve Native American children’s health. Each day, thousands of Native youth wake up facing significant health challenges and barriers to living full lives. The good news is that most of these challenges and barriers are preventable and, by working together, we are changing this reality. Their approach focuses on four core areas: healthy nutrition, physical activity, youth development, and cultural connections.
Bold Concepts was honored to support this positive life-changing event and we are excited to be a continued supporter.
